Society of Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture - ACT (SCMA-ACT)
The Society of Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture-ACT (SCMA-ACT) is an independent national practitioner based professional association representing practitioners of acupuncture and Chinese medicine in ACT. It has been an incorporated association since 2003.
How does the SCMA-ACT benefit you?
The SCMA-ACT is the first professional association of Chinese Medicine in the ACT. It was registered on the 11th of December 2003, and is a branch of the nation wide association FCMA and has strong links and support from the origin of Chinese Medicine ~ China.
The Society has close links with over ten universities, colleges and hospitals of TCM in China and has many contacts, which ensures that its members are kept up-to-date with the latest news from China.
Recognized by Health Funds
Under the umbrella of FCMA, a practicing member will be covered by more than thirty health funds for rebates.
Seminar workshop and professional development
As a local branch, the Society focuses on the local needs by organizing regular seminar workshops.
Current issues
Frequent representation is made by the Society at government levels, ensuring an up-to-date understanding of the current political and health-related issues.

Working towards the combination of education and practice to improve the health of the members of this community.
